ecotube Technology

New Technology

Less water - More yield

ecotube is the first permeable subterranean irrigation system (colloquial soaker tube) for industrial agriculture, with an even water distribution of 100 m.

It is an underground irrigation system mainly made from recycled tyres.

The constant water release forms a homogeneous, humid zone and provides the plant with the required amount of water. Due to its permeable nature, additional nutrients or oxygen can be distributed directly into the root zone of the plant.

The only 3 in 1 System

In addition to homogeneous subsurface irrigation and Fertigation, it is possible to to aerate the root zone of the plants.

ecotube requires almost no maintenance. Larger systems can be operated worldwide fully automatic via Remote Access.

Due to its underground installation, ecotube is far more durable than conventional irrigation systems.

Irrigation

Water is being delivered homogeneously to the root zone with a discharge rate of 1,3 l/h/m.

Fertigation

Liquid fertilizer can  be used with the ecotube to directly feed it to the plants roots.

Aeration

With a compressor, air can be inserted in the same system, to bring oxygen to the root zone.

Hydroponic Solution

ecotube circle

Plant cultivation in pots is gaining importance – not only for berries, but also in fruit and ornamental production. In this context, precise irrigation and fertilization are keys to success.

With the ecotube circle, subsurface root irrigation can now be applied directly in pots, such as for blueberries. The system is easy to integrate into existing infrastructure, as it connects seamlessly to the drippers on the main line.

Ecotube Circle

From berries to cannabis pots
ecotube blueberries

Customers with an existing hydroponic setup for berry production can easily integrate the ecotube circle. It connects directly to the dripper on the main line, while the circle itself is placed into the pot at a depth of approximately 10–20 cm.

The system has already been successfully implemented in the cultivation of blueberries, flowers, and cannabis.

ecotube berries

The ecotube circle ensures more uniform root development thanks to its circular water distribution. In potted crops especially, the addition of active aeration can be a decisive factor for healthy plant growth and overall vitality.

ecotube Air

The ecotube Air delivers uniform airflow over lengths of up to 100 meters through its unique microporous structure.
Designed for maximum efficiency and sustainability, it is ideal for applications such as pond and fish farm aeration, ebb-and-flow systems in horticulture, and soil warming in asparagus cultivation.
